Vacations
High Court Summer Vacation runs June 2 to 30, 2025 (29 days inclusive). Winter Vacation is December 29-31, 2025. Subordinate courts have shorter Summer Vacation from June 15-30 and Winter from December 27-31.
Key Holidays
National holidays include Republic Day (Jan 26), Holi (Mar 14), Id-ul-Fitr (Mar 31), Good Friday (Apr 18), Independence Day (Aug 15), Dussehra (Oct 2), Diwali (Oct 20), Guru Nanak’s Birthday (Nov 5), and Christmas (Dec 25). Local High Court holidays cover Maha Shivaratri (Feb 26), Mahavir Jayanti (Apr 10), and Bhai Duj (Oct 23).
Special Notes
Holidays in half red/green squares apply to both High Court and subordinates; red-only are High Court exclusive. Alternative sitting days include Jul 5 and Dec 6 Saturdays for rescheduling unforeseen closures.
